Head to museums to see the surreal works of Frida Kahlo and ancient artworks excavated from the Maya civilization. A Week-Long Sea Excursion
Traveler’s guide to planning a relaxing 4-day Mexico cruise filled with extraordinary things to do while making the most your short vacation getaway. When you travel to Mexico, one of the best ways to enjoy the country is by immersion. Try the local food, shop the local markets, and choose excursions that allow you to spend time getting to know a specific neighborhood, historic site or natural wonder. Reach the beach and soak, surf or snorkel in Mexico's clear waters, then stroll over soft sands and discover ancient ruins by the sea in places like Cozumel and Cabo San Lucas. More seascapes are found in Playa Progreso in Yucatan, Costa Sur in Puerto Vallarta, Cacaluta in Huatulco and Mahahual in Costa Maya, all of which provide those frame-ready vistas synonymous with Mexico.

There will probably be lots of motorcycles on them. Cruising AK on a Marine Highway ferry is a neat experience. We just returned from a Celebrity cruise to the Caribbean and there was a motorcycle group on board. At each port, they were the first to depart in a group with the bikes being unloaded from the hold. In fact, in one port, we were docked with the Celebrity Silhouette, who also had a motorcycle group on board.
Motorcycles on a cruise? Yes, that's right!
He said it was fascinating and scary at the same time. And on the ferry you can get by with Levi's and T-shirts. You can't on the cruise ship, so what will you do for clothing??? Plan the ferry trip home-it will be a far superior experience.
Ask about places to eat, the history or the music. Get out of your comfort zone and reach out to the people who know the country best — they can let you know where to go for the best price on that souvenir you're seeking or which beachside spot makes the best margarita. Mexico is ready for you to explore at any time of year. In general, the weather is best between December and April — there's little rain, and the temperatures are very comfortable.

We have done the motorcycle cruise and the people that run it are actually over zealous about keeping the bikes safe and no scratches or harm to the bikes. Instead of a traditional cruise Formal Night, it’s leather night. You can’t bring your bike but you can sure dress up like a biker. Or, I mean, there’s no actual description, so Leather Night could be your opportunity to show off your favorite … um … new outfit. Also, and I am not kidding here, there’s a lot of actual pirate-themed dressup going on in the photos. Entertainment Cruise Productions strongly recommends that all guests travel with a valid passport with at least six (6) months validity post cruise during their sailing.
The other had a very noticeable dent in the rear fender. They weren't like that when we loaded them in OUR trailer. And we are not talking about show off kids-these are people in their mid 50's. The dent happened while Jan was taking her bike off the ship-another rider got too close.
High Seas Rally brings together a community of bikers for the ultimate motorcycle vacation. This 7-night rally at sea kindles the spirit of adventure and supports two incredible causes – High Seas Rally Dialysis Fund and Wounded Warrior Project. “The world’s only motorcycle rally on a cruise ship” takes place from October 29 through November 5 this year. The High Seas Rally Cruise gives riders the unique opportunity to take a break from the road while hanging with other bikers at sea. Take many of the components you love about a land rally – community, camaraderie, fundraising, live music and entertainment, parties, vendors, beautiful scenery, freedom and adventure – and bring it on a luxury cruise ship.
There are apparently rental motorcycles available in “some of” the ports of call. The Bahamas are lousy with scooters, maybe those count? Regardless, you have to make all your own accommodations there. This all-inclusive cruise has everything riders and bike enthusiasts could ask for. From the Royal Caribbean Deluxe Drink Package to concerts featuring Colt Ford, Molly Hatchet, and more, don’t miss this one-of-a-kind cruise experience.
T-shirts, flip-flops, tank tops and your shades will do. The generosity of the High Seas Rally community is extraordinary and is what sets this experience apart. Funds raised through raffles, auctions, and games onboard throughout the week support High Seas Rally Dialysis Fund and Wounded Warrior Project and help change the lives of many deserving individuals. Over the years more than $3.4 million has been raised. You will have a far superior time taking your bike home on the Alaska Ferry. They had a great time and actually got to see something extra of Alaska, not just a 6 hour port stop.
Would do this type bike cruise again in a heartbeat and, we are! So, this is just info to correct the false and erroneous info your friends gave you and you are passing on. If you haven't been there and done it you can't possibly know what actually happened. There was always someone watching the bikes in ports if we were parked and off doing something and there was security on board to protect the bikes. But again, that might only be allowed for specific cruises. I'd call all the lines direct that you'd be interested in and ask which ships would work for you...if any.
